Class Schedule - Summer Session
YMCA Aquatic Fitness encourages people of all ages to use the buoyant qualities of water to enhance their physical fitness through exercises. Water can make some movements possible that would be very difficult on land. It's an ideal form of exercise for all ages and increases physical strength and endurance without putting stress and strain on joints, as in land-based exercise. Swimmers and nonswimmers alike can take part in this type of exercise to reduce emotional stress and tension, improve health and physical appearance, and encourage and improve feelings of well-being and self-esteem.
SWIM Inc (Specialized Water Interest Movement) Held at the Deer Path YMCA, this water exercise class and support group is for adults with physical disabilities. Adults with muscular problems such as multiple sclerosis, post stroke, arthritis, etc. are encouraged to attend. One hour of pool time is followed by a social hour with refreshments. Fridays: 9:45-10:45am; social hour until 12:00 To register call
