Preschool and Pre-K
Between the ages of 3 and 5, children learn to make choices, to take initiative, to form social connections and develop friendships. Preschoolers use their sense of trust and independence to explore their environment and to actively learn through play. Preschoolers are natural learners who thrive in an environment rich in hands-on learning and opportunities for self-discovery.
At the YMCA Child Learning Center our Preschool and PreK classrooms have adopted the nationally recognized Teaching Strategies: Creative Curriculum, which provides a framework for our environment, your child's daily schedule, leaning experiences and interactions with adults and peers. Our program provides your child with a balance of structured and independent activities and builds the foundations for academic and social competence.
