        Getting Started

To get started at the Hunterdon County YMCA, we invite everyone to come into our Deer Path Branch in Flemington or Round Valley Branch in Annandale and discover all that we have to offer. Please click here for a one-week trial membership certificate. We hope that you will agree that the YMCA is a great investment in your health and well-being.  Once you take that first step of coming into the YMCA, here are some of the ways we can assist you and your family in reaching your health and fitness goals.

Adults

  • If you’re interested in working out in the fitness center but are unfamiliar with the equipment, YMCA Wellness Mentors provide complimentary one-on-one orientations throughout the week.  We offer a wide range of times and days to fit your schedule.  To schedule an orientation with a Wellness Mentor, call our membership desk at 908-782-1030 (Deer Path) or 908-236-0055 (Round Valley).

  • The YMCA offers several classes to help you set goals and get started on a fitness program, including:

                            Low Impact

                            Pilates

                            Yoga

Water Exercise Classes at Deer Path

  • The YMCA offers FitLinxx, a computerized system that tracks your progress, provides feedback, and helps to keep you motivated.

  • The Women Living Well Club at Deer Path is specifically designed for women who feel intimidated or unsure about starting an exercise program.

  • For parents, Childwatch is available, so that you can build spirit, mind and body while your children are supervised and having fun.

Teens

  • Teens ages 12 and over can participate in all adult fitness classes and have use of the fitness centers (12-14 year olds must complete an orientation).  The YMCA offers fun, upbeat classes to get teens moving.

                           Boot Camp

                           Group Power

                           Group Step

                           Group Groove

                           Kickboxing

                           Zumba

  • Strong Kids 7th Grade Initiative: The Hunterdon County YMCA provides a one-year full-facility membership at no cost to all seventh graders in the county. Seventh grade has proven to be an important time for children to continue to remain active and gain the life-long fitness practices that will help them develop healthy habits.
