Volunteer

Anyone, member or non-member, no matter what your special talents, interests and schedule, can help change someone's life at the YMCA. If you share our commitment to the continued well-being of our youth and community, please consider becoming a YMCA Volunteer. Over 200 individuals volunteer for the YMCA, you can too! The following areas are only some of the many volunteer positions at the Hunterdon County YMCA
Special Olympics aquatic instructors
Assist athletes for Special Olympics competitions
Family Program Assistants
Assist with family programs such as Adventure Guides, Parents Night Out
Fundraising and Special Events
Help our Public Relations department with a variety of special events including the Golf Outing, Annual Dinner and Comedy Night. Campaigners are also needed for the Strong Kids campaign, which raises money for the YMCA's scholarship fund.
Office Assistants
Help with general office responsibilities including mailings, filing and copying.
Aquatic instructors and aides
Help instruct children, adults and special populations. Hundreds of children learn to swim each year at the Y. Training is provided.
Childcare
Help take care of children in our Child Watch areas of After School programs
Day Care Assistants
Help read and play with youngsters in the Round Valley Child Learning Center
Youth sports instructors, coaches, assistants
Parents and sports fans are needed to work with our staff in coaching young athletes in our sports programs. A great opportunity for a parent with skills to spend time and have fun with the kids.
