SUMMER CAMP EMPLOYMENT

Location: Camp Carr, Sports Camp or South Camp
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 4:15 pm
First day of Camp: June 19
Age Requirement: Must be at least 15 by June 19

Employment at camp is fun, but also involves hard work, responsibility and commitment. You are taking care of someone’s child and safety is always first. There are a variety of positions at camp and a variety of levels of responsibility.


SWIM TEAM DRY-LAND INSTRUCTOR

Exciting opportunity to work with the staff of our highly regarded swim team and a great group of young athletes. Free Y membership.
Hours:  7—10 hours per week, afternoon and evenings
Duties: Develop and instruct appropriate dry-land program for swim team participants. Implement and monitor weight lifting program. Complete record keeping and reports as needed. Facilitate and guide the teaching of YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Skills Required: High school diploma or GED plus National Training Certificate or 4 year college degree in exercise related field. Good interpersonal skills and cordial manner. Knowledge of current fitness and exercise trends, fitness class design, and human physiology. Possess and maintain CPR certification or obtain within 60 days of hire. Swim Team Coaches—Levels 1—4 (Several Positions Available)

Exciting opportunity to join the staff of our highly regarded swim team and work with a great group of young athletes. Free Y membership.
Hours: Approx. 10 hours per week, schedule will vary.
Duties: Facilitate, develop, promote and reinforce technique standards with designated coaching groups. Facilitate and guide the teaching of YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Skills Required:
Level 1:
Min. 4 years competitive swimming experience. Possess ASCA Level I Cert. or obtain within 3 months of hire. Click here for complete Job Description.
Level 2: High school diploma. Min. 2 years experience in competitive aquatic coaching. Min. 4 years competitive swimming experience. Possess ASCA Level I Cert. or obtain within 3 months of hire. Level 3: 4 year College degree and/or equivalent combination of education & experience. Min. 2 years experience in competitive aquatic coaching.
