Meet the contributors:
Teri Saccal is the Director of Healthy Living at HCY. She has been with HCY for 11+ years, starting her Y journey as a group fitness instructor. From there, her passion for fitness and healthy living resulted in Teri taking on additional roles in the Healthy Living Department. Teri is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and holds additional fitness certifications with Mossa, Spinning®, and TRX. Teri is also LiveStrong and OneStep trained and is active in the New Jersey Y Healthy Living Network. Outside of the Y, Teri enjoys gardening, baking and spending time with her family.
Carmen Farrand is the Fitness and Wellness Program Coordinator for HCY. Her fitness journey began 10+ years ago when looking for ways to get healthy and out of the house as a stay at home mom. That journey has turned into a passion to stay healthy and to help motivate others towards their fitness goals. Carmen’s first fitness license was with Zumba® Fitness, which quickly expanded into multiple licenses to teach other Zumba® formats. Additional certifications include AFAA Group Fitness, AFAA Personal Training, Spinning®, and MOSSA Strength Train. Carmen is also a TRX Trainer. She enjoys spending time with her family and keeping up with her two active teenagers. Passions outside of HCY focus on leading church worship and coffee dates with friends.
