Encouraging news regarding your immune system! Regular, moderate exercise, can help to improve your immune system resulting in less vulnerability to colds and viruses.
Your immune system needs routine maintenance to help it remain healthy. One component of a healthy lifestyle is physical activity. Exercise improves the circulatory system and the lymphatic system. Increased blood and lymph flow make it easier for cells to protect you from infection. As we discussed in my last post, 150 minutes a week of moderate cardio exercise is the standard recommendation.
Also, washing your hands with soap and water is always a smart idea, as well as cleaning exercise equipment before and after use.
Keep doing what you can to prepare your immune system to combat germs. At the Y, we will continue our diligent cleaning efforts.
