Carmen’s Post – Chocolate Covered Strawberries

As we continue celebrating a healthy heart this month, I hope that your Valentine’s Day brought you one of the finer things in life…..chocolate!
Dark chocolate boasts that it may improve brain function,  lower blood pressure, improve blood circulation and a host of other benefits.  The key to keeping chocolate healthy is to purchase chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa and to eat, as with all things, in moderation.  My Valentine made the dark chocolate covered strawberries pictured.  Simply wash and dry your fruit.  Melt your chocolate.  Dip the fruit in chocolate and place on wax paper.  Refrigerate until ready to eat!  Blueberries and blackberries make great satisfying chocolate covered snacks as well.  Give it a try….after your chocolate stash has run out.
