Gardening has decidedly become a fabulous hobby that supports wellness both physically and mentally. Gardening may burn up to 300 calories/ hr, dependent upon each person’s metabolic burn.
Gardening provides all major muscle groups the opportunity for a good workout. In the garden you may experience tilling, mowing, raking, watering, pruning, weeding, planting, and walking. These are all exercises that benefit in supporting lower blood pressure, heart disease, osteoporosis and depression, if practiced on a regular basis.
