Dan Connors: Is a Personal Trainer, as well as a TRX instructor at the HCYMCA.  Born in Dover, New Hampshire he moved every three to four years growing up in the states of Massachusetts, (up State) NY, Florida, Ohio, and New Jersey.  From grade school to high school he was active in many sports from soccer to football to cross-country.

Dan returned to New Hampshire to attended New England College where he majored in International Relations.  While attending he ran D3 cross-country and participated in many other extracurricular activities, including student government and being an RA among other responsibilities.

After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army for 4 years as an Intelligence Analysist.  He was stationed at Schofield Barrack, Hawaii with the 25th Infantry and deployed to Iraq from Oct 2008- Oct 2009.

Dan had enjoyed training as a college athlete in school, as well as the grueling fitness challenges of being a soldier.  After returning to NJ he decided to make physical fitness a priority in his life.   He became a member of the HCYMCA and it was not long after that he became a Wellness Mentor before becoming certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) for Personal Training.  Currently he has two TRX session during the week at Deer Path; Tuesday: Break&ReMake 8PM, and Thursday: OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) 8PM. These classes are for intermediate to advanced fitness levels.

Outside of the Y Dan is enthusiastic about being a Mudder Legion with Tough Mudder.  The physical challenge, as well as the comradery of team work resonates with who he is and why he loves fitness.  From being a soldier Dan believes that victory is achieved in every day of training leading up to the mission, not the day of.  This mindset carries over to how Dan approaches training with his clients.  Each training day is part of the process towards the greater vision of success.
