After School Program

At the end of the day when the school bell rings, 11.3 million kids in the U.S  head home to be unsupervised from 3 to 6 p.m, according to the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit public awareness advocacy organization. The Hunterdon County YMCA before and after school programs make sure that children are involved in safe, educational experiences after school hours. 

$25 = One day of after school care, keeping kids engaged and supervised from 3-6 pm

Youth Sports

The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning a new skill or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out. 

$50 = A session of youth sports, helping kids get the recommended 60 minutes of daily activity

Learn to Swim Program

Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death for children under fourteen. The Hunterdon County YMCA believes that all children should know be safe in and around water. To help prevent childhood drowning, the Y offers a free 2nd Grade Learn to Swim Program, open to all families in Hunterdon County.

$60 = A session of the free Learn to Swim Program for a 2nd grader, which teaches life-saving water safety skills

Family Time

Serving families has always been at the heart of the Y. We are a place where they can find respite from social, economic and educational challenges, and learn how to overcome them. We have a fundamental desire to provide opportunities for every family to build stronger bonds, achieve greater balance, and become more engaged with their communities. 

$100 = One-month membership offering families in need the chance to be healthy and connect


LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their holistic health goals. The research-based program provides a supportive environment where people impacted by cancer can connect during treatment and beyond. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA helps people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body. 

$250= 12 weeks of wellness programming and support


YMCA day camp programs provide a fun and unique experience that gives children and teens the opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime. 

$400 = A 2-week session of summer camp, giving all kids a chance to learn, explore, and achieve
