Join senior adults across the US who are participating in physical activities as part of this nationwide health and fitness event.
The Hunterdon County YMCA and goHunterdon have teamed up to offer the following free events:
10:30 am—ENHANCE FITNESS—at the Deer Path Branch. Enhance Fitness is an evidenced-based group exercise program that uses simple, easy-to-lean movements that motivate individuals with or without arthritis to stay active throughout their life.
12:15 pm—ZUMBA GOLD—at the Deer Path Branch. This is a Low impact Zumba class that fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic, energetic dance workout that will feel like a party not a workout. Appropriate for beginners
Due to the weather forecast, the following events have been postponed until June 10, which we hope is a beautiful day!
8:30 am—BICYCLE RODEO— at the Deer Path Branch. goHunterdon will lead a Bicycle Rodeo for those seniors who enjoy riding their bikes both on and off road. A rodeo is a bicycle skills event which provides an opportunity for bicyclists to practice and develop skills that will help them become better at bike handling and bicycle safety. Bring your bike and your helmet!
10:30 am—SAFETY SASHAY—at the Round Valley Branch. goHunterdon staff will lead this fun, interactive and healthy walk on the walking path. 2 teams will compete against each other as they stop along the way to correctly complete questions and scenarios on pedestrian and bicycle safety.
