Last year, the staff of the Hunterdon County YMCA donated $34,000 to the Annual Campaign. These donations, combined with those from the community, support the YMCA’s financial assistance program, through which the Y is able to help county residents who need it most by offering reduced rates for programs and services at the Y. As a result, over 1,450 individuals, mostly children and teens, were able to participate in a Y program with support of the donated funds.
This year, the goal is to raise $40,000 through staff giving.
Supporting the Annual Campaign enables more people in the community to participate in programs – like the 2nd Grade Learn to Swim Program, LIVESTRONG at the Y, and 7th Grade Membership Initiative – that help lead to happier, healthier lives. Donations also help keep kids engaged and focused on activities that encourage positive behavior, and lead them to make decisions that can ensure brighter futures.
Please join us and help provide relief to working families who rely on our quality childcare, camp, and health and wellness programs at an affordable cost. In 2017, our typical recipient was a single mother of two, making less than $23,000 a year. Help us help families who could use a hand up.
