SPECIAL EVENT OPPORTUNITIES
Family First Friday - Deer Path Branch - approximately 5:00-8:00 PM
Volunteers are needed to help the Hunterdon County YMCA host a Family First Friday Event. Every 1st Friday of the month, we invite families to join us for an evening of themed crafts, activities, snacks, and fun. Volunteers will help with setup and cleanup, as well as assisting throughout the event.

Painting & Powerwashing at the Flemington Produce Distribution Location – Various Shifts, June 7-9
Time: Varies based on shift
Location: Flemington Baptist Church (170 Main Street, Flemington)
Help us spruce up the Flemington Baptist Church (170 Main Street, Flemington), one of the Y's locations for our Produce Distribution Program! Volunteers are needed to assist with painting the basement, as well as powerwashing tables from the church. Help us, help the church look even more inviting to those we serve!
2018 Dance Recital – Sunday, June 10
Time: 11 am to 3 pm
Location: Reading Fleming Intermediate School
Volunteer this year at the YMCA’s dance recital! Help distributing programs, serving as ushers, keeping our young dancers calm and quiet, and more! Volunteers should be age 12 or older.
2018 Golf Classic - Monday, June 18
Time: Flexible Shifts from 9 am to 8 pm
Location: Stanton Ridge Country Club
Join us in volunteering for the Annual Golf Classic on Monday, June 18 at the Stanton Ridge Golf and Country Club in Whitehouse! Flexible shifts are available including registration, raffle ticket sales, on course contest witnesses, and more. All funds raised from this important event insure that no one is turned away from the Y due to an inability to pay. Most volunteer positions require that the volunteer be 18+. Volunteers may be 16+ to help with volunteer check-in and goody bag distribution

SUMMER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEENS
Join the Togetherhood Committee for summer volunteer opportunities just for teens (ages 14 and up)! Sign up for one, some, or all of the projects listed below. It's a great way to get your volunteer service hours completed, and meet others looking to do the same. Please note, two adult volunteers will be available as chaperones.
Summer 2018 projects include volunteering with:
America's Grow a Row, Flemington Food Pantry, and Meals on Wheels.

PROGRAM VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
After School Program - School Age Child Care
Volunteers are sought to assist with after school program activities in 17 schools throughout the county. Volunteers generally help between the hours of 3 pm and 6 pm and must be at least 15 years old. This program runs during the school year.
Round Valley Child Learning Center
The Child Learning Center cares for children from 6 weeks through 5 years of age. Volunteers will participate in classroom activities and routines as directed by YMCA staff, including group play or outside activities. The Child Learning Center is located at the Round Valley branch in Annandale, and is open from 6:45 am—6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, year-round. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
The Milford Preschool cares for children from 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. Volunteers will participate in classroom activities and routines as directed by YMCA staff, including group play or outside activities. Adult volunteers (18+) are needed anytime between the hours of 9 am—1 pm, Monday through Friday. The Preschool is located at the Milford Presbyterian Church and runs from September through June.
Youth Sports Classes
The Hunterdon County Y offers several youth sports classes each week at both the Deer Path and Round Valley branches, primarily weekday afternoons and evenings. Under the direction of Y staff, volunteers assist in caring for the children enrolled in these classes. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Opportunities are dependent on enrollment in each class.
Youth Sports Leagues
We are seeking several adult volunteers (18+) to serve as youth sports league coaches.
Volunteers are expected to participate in league activities as directed by YMCA staff; assist with the set up and clean up of the activity; and show a positive and encouraging attitude when conducting the league. Leagues are primarily held on the weekends at the Deer Path branch. Teen helpers (age 12+) also welcome!
