Food Art & Etiquette

(Ages 5-12)
Student chefs create original food art sculptures that they can eat as a lunch, snack, appetizer and dessert. These no cook meals are kid friendly, hands-on and sparks their imagination while tasting different foods. Students will learn about cleanliness in the kitchen, why there are different color fruits and vegetables, and what organic means. In addition to weekly recipes, this class participates in a 4 course dinner party meal where the students get to practice their table manners and table settings skills.

Youth/Teen Cooking

(Ages 7-17)
Students will learn decision making, planning skills and confidence as they create a hot cooked meal in 20 minutes using 4 fresh ingredients, plus a sweet delicious dessert. They will learn cleanliness in the kitchen and how to prepare meats and vegetables without cross-contamination. They will also learn how to set the table, serve a meal in proper portions, socialize, as well as the proper way to handle a fork, knife and spoon. By the end of the 4-week session, each student will receive a book of recipes they made in class.
