The Y offers  tween  & teen  swim lessons at various competency levels from beginner to pre-competitive.  We have designed age-appropriate classes to ensure that children of any age can learn to swim and advance in their swimming goals for safety, fitness or sport.

TWEEN AND TEEN SWIM LESSONS

AGES 9 – 14

Age-appropriate swim class for beginner swimmers and those who with basic swimming knowledge who would like to improve technique and ability.

• Aquatek I – Beginner level. Teaches basic swim skills including, treading, back float, elementary backstroke and rhythmic breathing.

• Aquatek II – Refines backstroke and freestyle. Teaches breaststroke and diving while building endurance.

Competitive Clinic – Ages 9-14

Designed for swimmers who have passed Youth Level 6 and want to learn about competitive swimming while refining their technique in all four competitive strokes. Starts, turns and finishes are taught.

Power Swim – Ages 9-14

Designed for students who have passed Youth 6 and want the challenge of twice weekly workouts to improve theirtechnique, endurance and fitness levels. Great for staying in shape between sport seasons.
