The Y is a leading nonprofit committed to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, supporting their social-emotional, cognitive and physical development from birth to career. In the Hunterdon County YMCA’s after school program youth receive help with homework and can also explore arts, S.T.E.M., health and wellness, leadership development and service learning. Financial assistance is available to those in need, to ensure every child and teen has the opportunity to learn and grow at the Y.
Program Activities Your Child Will Love
Through a well-rounded approach to youth development, the Y’s programs offer activities in a caring and safe environment during the critical hours after school. The Y nurtures the potential of youth throughout the school year. The Y’s after school program focuses on 9 Components: 21st Century Skills, Arts, College & Career Readiness, Family and Parent Engagement, Global Learning & Inclusion, Health & Wellness, Academic Enrichment, Leadership Development, and Service Learning.
2019-20 Registration links – for current participants only (membership and balance must be current). Please note – 2nd child and other discounts will be applied after registration.
Please note, Open Registration for new participants begins on Monday, June 3, online and in-person at the Deer Path Branch.
The before school programs begin at 7 a.m. and run until the school day starts, and after-school programs begin at dismissal and run until 6 p.m. There is a choice of attending 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week for the after-school program. The before school program fee covers 5 days per week regardless of the number of days attending. Programs run on most school holidays and the holiday programs are available to children in the after-school program only. There is no additional fee for holiday programs as long as the holiday falls on a day the child is regularly scheduled to attend. Drop-in care is available for most programs, though children must be registered before attending. Please note, drop-in care is not available for Barley Sheaf, Holland after-school programs, or Desmares before school program.
Benefits of the Program
Our before and after school programs include some great benefits for parents. There’s no need to travel, as our program is located inside the school. Additionally, your child will attend these extracurricular activities at their school surrounded by classmates and peers he or she already knows. Feel secure in knowing your child is under the supervision of experienced guidance, in the longtime established and trusted YMCA.
