We have partnered with all of our school districts to assure families have the essential before and after school and full day care they need and to provide that care in the safest way possible. Learn more about our protocols and procedures. Every district’s schedule will be unique. We will be posting district specific information/options as they become available.

Steps to Registering for Before and After School Programs Online

Click here, select either location and the Youth Program or Family Program for 2 or more children. To enjoy all of the benefits of the YMCA, select a Full Facility membership option. For Franklin and Union Township Schools please proceed directly to Step #2 Register for Before/After School Program.

Choose your school from the list and then select your options; before school program and/or after school program and the number of days per week, or drop-in, for use on an as-needed basis.

Registration for 2021-2022 School Year has begun and is done entirely online – use the links below to go directly to the site/school of your choice.
Membership and balance must be current to register.  Please note – 2nd child/financial assistance adjustments will be applied after registration.

Program Outline

The before school programs begin at 7 a.m. and run until the school day starts, and after-school programs begin at dismissal and run until 6 p.m. There is a choice of attending 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week for the after-school program. Programs run on most school holidays and the holiday programs are available to children registered for the after-school program only. There is no additional fee for holiday programs as long as the holiday falls on a day the child is regularly scheduled to attend. Drop-in care is available for most programs, though children must be registered before attending.

Information and Resources

The Y is a leading nonprofit committed to nurturing the potential of every child, supporting their social-emotional, cognitive and physical development from birth to career. In the Hunterdon County YMCA’s after school program youth receive help with homework and can also explore our 9 Components: 21st Century Skills, Arts, College & Career Readiness, Family and Parent Engagement, Global Learning & Inclusion, Health & Wellness, Academic Enrichment, Leadership Development, and Service Learning. Financial assistance is available to those in need, to ensure every child and teen has the opportunity to learn and grow at the Y.

Benefits of the Program

Our before and after school programs include some great benefits for parents. There’s no need to travel, as our program is located inside the school. Additionally, your child will attend these extracurricular activities at their school surrounded by classmates and peers he or she already knows. Feel secure in knowing your child is under the supervision of experienced guidance, in the longtime established and trusted YMCA
